The Cuyahoga Valley National Park provides endless opportunities to enjoy its 33,000 acres of natural greenspace, lakes, recreation areas and historic sites throughout the year. Every season in the Cuyahoga Valley brings new discoveries, adventures and activities – from snowboarding, cross-country or downhill skiing in the winter, to picnicking, camping and fishing throughout the year.

discover-2Year-round activities also include riding the rails through the Cuyahoga Valley on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad; experiencing the areas awesome restaurants, vineyards, entertainment complexes, hotels and B&B’s; shopping at the local farmer’s markets; civil war and historic re-enactments at Hale Farm & Village; birdwatching near the great Cuyahoga River or biking and hiking the many trails that cover 125 miles through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The fun and possibilities are endless!

In recognition of the Cuyahoga Valley’s past as a rural farming area, several small working farms dot the landscape thanks to the efforts of the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park, the Cuyahoga Valley Countryside Initiative and  Hale Farm & Village.  These  privately-owned working farms can be found within or near the boundaries of the Cuyahoga Valley.  Most of the farms raise livestock, chickens and turkeys.

The Cuyahoga Valley region is also home to Christmas tree farms, vineyards and farmer’s markets where fresh produce grown in the Valley is available for purchase and used by local chefs at area restaurants.

As a place for discover-4all seasons, the Cuyahoga Valley welcomes over three million visitors throudiscover-6ghout the year.   Whether you drive, bike, walk or ‘ride the rails’ on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, we encourage you to spend a day, weekend or more to take in and truly enjoy the awesome amenities this region has to offer.
